

Few men in Las Vegas have had a greater impact on the local baseball community than former UNLV and CSN coach Tim Chambers. As a skipper to hundreds of ballplayers over the last few decades, "Channy" guided countless young lives safely into port. He prepared them for life, offered astute words of wisdom and held the lot of us accountable not for our actions, but our potential for greatness.

In what has been a season of accolades, Las Vegas Aviators manager Fran Riordan took the most recent honor for the franchise as the Pacific Coast League announced Tuesday Riordan was selected as the Pacific Coast League’s Manager of the Year. The Las Vegas franchise’s third Manager of the Year winner, this is Riordan's first such honor.

As if the highly-touted Las Vegas Ballpark in Summerlin couldn't add to its already long list of accolades since opening this past spring, the Las Vegas Aviators have been selected to host the 2020 Ephesus Sports Lighting Triple-A National Championship Game.

The awards and accolades just keep rolling in for the new Las Vegas Ballpark in Summerlin. The Las Vegas Aviators' home field was named BaseballParks.com's Ballpark of the Year award for 2019.
