One question posed was whether they would pursue a top talent like Saquon Barkley. Dianna revealed that the Bears plan to be players in the running back market, with Barkley being a likely target of interest.
"The Chicago Bears are in on Saquon Barkely.. they will probably spend more money than they would probably want to."
Surprisingly, Dianna also mentioned that the Bears are currently having discussions with Saquon Barkley's representatives.
"They are having conversations with his camp."
The Bears might have to dish out around $10 million each year to sign Barkley, but there's a chance for both sides to benefit from a deal. Would you be upset if the Bears signed Barkley for 3 years at $30 million, with $18.5 million guaranteed? I wouldn't. Because having a weapon at running back like Barkley would be extremely valuable, no matter who's playing quarterback, whether it's Justin Fields or Caleb Williams.
