The Chicago Bears draft plans are unknown to everybody outside Halas Hall. All people can do at this point is make educated guesses about what they may or may not be aiming to do. The simple answer? Make the offense better. Every single position group could use some attention but the three biggest are obviously quarterback, offensive line, and wide receiver.
Some people may be confused by that last one. They shouldn't be. Chicago has serious questions at the receiver position. Allen Robinson is a pending free agent. There is no guarantee the team will bring him back. Even on the franchise tag. Anthony Miller regressed in a big way this past season and has become untrustworthy. Javon Wims? He never proved himself as anything more than a solid blocker.
Their only certainty at this point is Darnell Mooney. That isn't enough.
Even if they end up adding a quarterback via the trade market or early in the draft, they'll need to find him weapons. It appears they've begun the process of finding them down at the Senior Bowl in Alabama. According to Zack Pearson of Bear Report, the team is scheduled to have a personal meeting with Oklahoma State receiver Tylan Wallace. This kid has been a steady, reliable presence for three years with at least 900 yards in each season. While not the biggest or fastest, he has enough size and speed to make defenses respect him. Where he really stands out is during and after the catch. His hand-eye coordination and body control is excellent. Then he shows off his strength by being tough to tackle with the ball in his hands.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gn6ohP_YD3o&t&ab_channel=JustBombsProductions
