The Chicago Bears deserve a lot of credit for getting off to a 3-0 start. This despite plenty of hiccups along the way. However, good luck has also played a significant part in it as well. They didn't have to face Kenny Golladay in the opener against Detroit. Saquon Barkley tore his ACL early against the Giants. Then last week Julio Jones wasn't able to play in Atlanta due to a hamstring injury.
Not having to face such a wealth of talent no doubt aided the Bears in their winning streak. Now it seems that good fortune may smile on them again. The Indianapolis Colts are up next for Chicago. Their first opponent with a winning record this season. After that, they'll have a quick turnaround on Thursday Night Football against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Unfortunately for the Bucs, they may have to navigate that same stretch without one of their best offensive weapons. Wide receiver Chris Godwin suffered a hamstring pull and will miss this Sunday's game with expectations he may likely miss the Thursday night matchup as well.
