The Chicago Bears knew during the pre-draft process that Colston Loveland was somebody they couldn't get enough of. His tape at Michigan was excellent and he nailed the interview process. Head coach Ben Johnson recognized what he could be in the new offense, giving Caleb Williams another viable target. The Bears head coach knows tight ends. He coached the position in Detroit and Miami. However, he wasn't alone in loving Loveland. GM Ryan Poles and his front office were big fans.

Todd Heap was a great player for the Baltimore Ravens in the 2000s. At his peak, he was averaging 700-800 yards per season in an offense geared around the run and boasting quarterbacks like Jeff Blake and Kyle Boller. Injuries shortened his career, but he was a nightmare for defenses to deal with.
