The Chicago Bears finished the 2019 season with a 8-8 record, leaving a lot to talk about in the off-season. Even with all that went wrong for the Bears this year, they still found a way to finish .500 and leave just a sliver of hope heading into next season. Now, if you ask Bears saftey Eddie Jackson on his expectations, you'd get a different response. He doesn't just think the team has a chance to bounce back, but he pretty much promised it. He went on to say this:
"2020 is ours though. No cap. Real life. We coming 2020."
Though the optimism is something to admire, it is going to take a lot more than words to earn back the city's trust.
It will take action.
It will take a hell of a lot more than just eight wins.
That is the price you pay when you talk Super Bowl expectations at the beginning of the year, yet produce a 8-8 season. Hopefully Eddie is right though, I think we'd all take 2020 being the year for the Bears.
No cap.
