Phil Simms knows football. More importantly, he knows winning football. He's a two-time Super Bowl champion and former Super Bowl MVP in 1986. He's also a long-time analyst who called several seasons for CBS including a few Super Bowls. If anybody is qualified to make an assessment about the Chicago Bears and their 2018 prospects, it's him.
Adam Schein and he sat down to talk the NFL for week one and the Bears came up as their topic of conversation. Most people have been down or at least cautious about this team with their expectations this season. Don't count these two men among them. Schein has already said he's a big fan of what they did this offseason.
The far bigger surprise is how much of a believer Simms is as well.

Chicago Bears have at least one good player at every position
That's massive praise, and not entirely unwarranted. If one were to examine the roster, they'd find that most positions have at least one good player in the mix, more often two:- RB - Jordan Howard and Tarik Cohen
- WR - Allen Robinson
- OL - Kyle Long
- TE - Trey Burton
- DL - Akiem Hicks and Eddie Goldman
- LB - Khalil Mack, Leonard Floyd, and Danny Trevathan
- CB - Kyle Fuller and Prince Amukamara
- S - Eddie Jackson
