In the most recent BFR Podcast episode, Ficky and I discussed two trade proposals presented by @DuhBearsDen. The first proposal involved the Bears potentially trading the number one overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft (if secured through the Carolina Panthers) to the Las Vegas Raiders in exchange for a huge return.
The trade package looks like the following:
Bears get:
Maxx Crosby
No. 11 overall pick in the 2024 draft
2024 2nd round pick
2025 1st round pick
Raiders get:
No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 draft
If you are the Bears, you pull the trigger in a heartbeat.
All in all, we received an interesting question about the possibility of the Raiders trading Maxx Crosby, a key player on their defense. However, it seems unlikely given Crosby's status as a top 5 edge rusher in the NFL and being just 26 years old. The idea of him joining the Bears, potentially paired with Montez Sweat, is very intriguing, especially considering Crosby's impressive 13.5 sacks this season. If the opportunity arises for the Bears to acquire Maxx Crosby, it would be something Ryan Poles should definitely consider.
