Jaylon Johnson came into the NFL with one purpose. That is to show everybody he can hang with any wide receiver in the business. Even before getting drafted, he said his desire was to match up against Davante Adams because he felt the former Green Bay Packers star was the best in the league. Only by playing the best could he truly push himself to be great. So it must've been gratifying when Adams himself expressed respect for the Chicago Bears cornerback on Instagram.
As it turns out, he isn't the only great receiver with such feelings. Cooper Kupp had one of the greatest seasons in NFL history last year, going for 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns. He won Super Bowl MVP for the Los Angeles Rams. Nobody could stop him, but even he had to work hard against some defensive backs. Longtime analyst Dan Patrick asked him who the toughest assignments were last season. Two names came to mind. One was Indianapolis Colts Pro Bowler Kenny Moore, and the other was Johnson.
