The Chicago Bears are officially gone for their summer vacation. Players are getting their rest over the next few weeks while coaches prepare for training camp next month. Obviously, everybody will continue working in their free time, but it is still a good time to indulge in having some fun. Chase Claypool decided to do some modeling in Europe. Even Justin Fields hasn't been shy about partaking in some entertainment amidst his relentless schedule. Apparently, that includes practical jokes.
One thing people often forget about Fields is his sense of humor. He's not afraid to trash-talk with teammates or opponents. He'll roast somebody if he feels it's deserved. Pulling pranks is likely something he learned when he was young too, having multiple siblings and all. Former Bears cornerback Thomas Graham Jr. found that out the hard way. He was celebrating his birthday with Fields and others. Unfortunately, he made the mistake of falling asleep during the festivities.
The Bears quarterback made him pay the price.
Justin Fields can likely expect a receipt at some point.
He and Graham were teammates in 2021. It appears they struck up a friendship that persists even after the cornerback left last year to join the Cleveland Browns. The odds are strong that they and other players got together for workout sessions. They chose a place to stay over a series of days rather than a hotel. It seems Graham couldn't keep the same pace as others. Nodding off with that crowd was a considerable risk.
This is another reminder that Justin Fields has a playful side to him. That stoic exterior he puts in front of the media doesn't tell the full story. He's a character in his own right. Teammates wouldn't gravitate to him like they do if he were a robot. One thing is clear. He should be looking over his should moving forward. Graham will be out for revenge after that incident.
