It's going to be a photo finish at the end of the 2019 season between the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers. At least that's what the analytic algorithms set by NFL.com expert Cynthia Frelund indicate. She believes the two teams will finish in a deadlock tie at 10-6 when the season concludes.
The Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions? They'll be left in the dust at 8-8 and 6-10 respectively. It's unclear who owns the tiebreakers in any of this. Only that the oldest rivalry in the NFL will hold great meaning again with the two teams battling for division
Prediction makes Bears and Packers opener huge
If what Frelund say does indeed come to pass, then it puts an extra bit of juice into the highly-anticipated opening night matchup between the two teams. A historic affair at Soldier Field to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the NFL. One can imagine whoever gets that victory will be in the driver seat from the start.
Final records don't matter as much as records within the division. Not only would that game get the Bears to 1-0 for the year, but also 1-0 vs. the NFC North. If they can deliver a better record against their division opponent than the Packers, then they will hold the tiebreaker.
As if the game needed any more hype than it already has. The Bears have waited a long time to get another chance at the Packers with the division on the line. A chance to erase the nightmares of that cold day at Soldier Field in 2013 with the Chris Conte blown coverage on Randall Cobb that broke the spirits of an entire franchise.
