Packers WR Shows He May Have Drug Problem With Aaron Rodgers Comment

Green Bay Packers fans are holding out hope that Jordan Love will maintain their incredible streak of quarterback greatness. That organization went from Brett Favre to Aaron Rodgers, putting together 30 years of first-ballot Hall of Fame play under center. The Packers have maintained their belief in Love. It's a matter of being patient with his development. Here's the thing. If the former 1st round pick were any good, one would think he'd have risen to the starting job long before this.

Last year should've been his time. He'd spent two seasons on the bench. Rodgers had just lost an ugly playoff game at home, where he played poorly. It was the perfect time to make a switch. Instead, Green Bay handed the long-time star a massive contract extension. If that weren't a clear statement about Love, nothing would be. That doesn't seem to have stopped young receiver Romeo Dobbs from making a...bold...statement about the state of the Packers' quarterback position.

An Aaron Rodgers statement like that is a lose-lose scenario.

Doubs puts even more pressure on Love to perform right out of the gate, as if there wasn't enough already. Not only that, but it also makes him look like a complete dunce if his new quarterback falters in 2023. It also won't help if Rodgers shines over in New York with his new Jets team. These comments were best left unsaid. Not the only thing Doubs can do is pray Love makes him a prophet. He will certainly have to play better himself compared to last year, when the guy had two fumbles and nine dropped passes.

The Chicago Bears will be the first team to test that statement a few months from now when they host the Packers on opening day. There is no question the team is eager to exact some revenge on a rival that has tormented them for the past 15 years. Popping the Jordan Love bubble right away would certainly be a great way to do it. Aaron Rodgers would love nothing better. It would be the perfect reminder to his old team that they're once again mortal without him.
