Rams GM Predicted Where Adam Shaheen Would Go In the Draft

Los Angeles Rams GM Les Snead may be under a lot of pressure for his team not winning enough, but one thing is clear. The guy really seems to know his stuff. He first caught the attention of Chicago Bears fans during a reaction video from the hit Amazon Prime TV show "All or Nothing." In it sees the trade happen when the Bears went up from #3 to #2. At that point he surmised the move had to be for a quarterback and Mitch Trubisky, or "Trubinsky" to him was the only choice. Sure enough that's who the Bears took. Snead was surprised like many others but at the same time understood the move. There are two types of teams in the NFL. Teams that have quarterbacks and teams that don't. The teams that don't almost always have to pay through the nose to get one. Chicago didn't give away the farm, but the price was still steep. What may shock some people is that Trubisky wasn't the only Bears pick the Rams GM semi-predicted.

Snead saw Adam Shaheen going in the second round

As it turns out Snead called another shot before the draft. At the scouting combine he was sitting with former Bears quarterback Jordan Palmer. The tight ends were running drills and a young man named Adam Shaheen caught Snead's eye. Ironically Shaheen went to the Bears at the #45 pick, just one after the Rams who also took a tight end in Gerald Everett. Of course some will wonder if Snead like Shaheen so much, why didn't he draft him? The simple answer is Everett better fits the offensive style of new Rams head coach Sean McVay. He's similar in build and athleticism to Washington Redskins Pro Bowler Jordan Reed. Either way it doesn't change the fact that Snead might have some sort of inside scoop on the Bears and their draft strategies. Maybe they should hire him if and when Los Angeles ever lets him go. After all, he still owes Chicago for swiping Aaron Donald away from them three years ago.
