The Chicago Bears seems to be shifting their identity. After drafting their QB in Justin Fields, the team has begun to employ a draft approach that signals they might be planning to run the football a lot more in the near future. Two giant offensive tackles known for their power in Teven Jenkins and Larry Borom. Now they add another body to their backfield in Khalil Herbert out of Virginia Tech.
Compared to Mike Davis by NFL.com, Herbert is known for his good mixture of vision and strong lower body. He can break tackles and knows where to find the running lanes. The problem some seem to have with him is his lacking ability in the passing game. Both as a blocker and a pass-catcher. Whether that is because of his skill or lack of usage remains uncertain. It is apparent he knows how to tote the rock though.
