Tarik Cohen is like every other Chicago Bears player right now. He's just trying to find ways to keep himself occupied during the offseason, hoping the NFL is able to return to normalcy. One of his favorite things in the world is video games. He'll play in tournaments and online all the time. He even posts sessions on Instagram Live and talks to fans. However, that doesn't automatically mean he'll be on his best behavior.
One unnamed person found that out the hard way. While streaming on the 20th, a random fan commented that Cohen needs to be better about running more north and south. Something several critics said was a problem with him last season. The running back took exception to this. He literally paused the music he'd been blasting during the video to call this guy out.
He certainly didn't mince words in reply.
Tarik Cohen actually told a bit of a lie there
Truth be told, he averaged 3.3 yards per carry for the season. He ran the ball 64 times for 213 yards. This is down significantly from the 4.5 yards he averaged in 2018. To be fair, this isn't all his fault. The Bears offensive line was terrible last season, unable to open running lanes. At the same time, Cohen did show a tendency to gravitate towards the sideline more often than usual rather than cutting back inside trying to find more yards.
Either way, it's clear enough he has to improve. The Bears need him to showcase his old form in order for the offense to have a shot at not dragging the team down like it did last season.
