Get used to the name Tyson Bagent (pronounced BAY-gent). Tyson Bagent came to the Bears this spring, signing as an undrafted free agent after a remarkable college career at Division II Sheperd University in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. If he had a career at a Division One school, he probably would have been one of the top-rated QBs in this year's draft.

In a twist of fate Bagent was named to the American Team in this year's Senior Bowl. Bears offensive coordinator, Luke Getsy was the head coach for the squad. After Tyson was not drafted, the Bears quickly scooped up the QB.
With Justin Fields barely seeing any action in the preseason, Bagent easily out-performed P. J. Walker and Nathan Peterman to earn the nod as the 2nd string QB.
The Bears must submit their 53-man roster to the league office by 3:00 today.
