Tom Brady Couldn't Resist Needling Caleb Williams During FaceTime

Caleb Williams has an agreement with Topps for a special line of trading cards he's been promoting for the past few months. He already did a fun commercial with Chicago Bears legend Jim McMahon. Now, it appears his work has caught the attention of the best to ever do it. Topps cameras caught Tom Brady pulling a Williams card with an autograph on it. So he decided to place a call to the Bears quarterback to relay the news. You can immediately see Williams' grin on the screen, clearly surprised. To his credit, he recovered quickly.

However, the best part came a few seconds later. Brady, always known for being a maniacal competitor who isn't afraid to challenge people, couldn't resist needling Williams about this upcoming season. He fully expects the quarterback to increase the card's value by playing well.

The Bears quarterback has idolized the G.O.A.T. since he became a quarterback as a child. His mission when arriving in the NFL was to chase the seven Super Bowl titles Tom Brady won throughout his career. To do that, he must start winning. Brady won his first championship in just his second season. Asking that of Williams is probably unfair, but it's not like the Bears haven't set him up for success. They completely revamped the offensive line this off-season, have surrounded him with weapons, and now gave him a head coach who is more than qualified to get the most out of his talents, Ben Johnson.

It comes down to whether Williams is ready to put in the work. What made Brady so lethal was his mastery of details. He always knew what defenses were doing before the snap, enabling him to make adjustments that led to positive plays. Williams isn't there yet, which is no surprise. Johnson should be able to change that. There is no doubt the value of that card will skyrocket if he leads the Bears back to the playoffs with a big season.
