Justin Fields is a talented young man. Anybody who watched him at Ohio State could see that. Through the first two games of the preseason, the Chicago Bears were seeing glimpses of the special player he could be. Not just as a runner but a passer. His downfield accuracy was something fans in this city just haven't seen in a long time. For most of the first half against the Tennessee Titans in the preseason finale? They didn't see much.
Then the 11th overall pick struck. With just under a minute to play, the Bears were driving deep into Titans territory. On first down, Fields was flushed to his right. He had a wide open lane to run the ball if he wished. Instead, he kept his eyes downfield and fired a pass to the end zone for tight end Jesper Horsted. The ball place and accuracy while on the run must be seen to be believed. A truly ridiculous toss.
