Justin Fields is not the kind of guy that is going to start controversies. Anybody that has watched him in his press conferences sees a player with a remarkable grasp of his emotions. His answers are always are almost always delivered with the same even-keel style. However, the young quarterback isn't stupid. Far from it. Media members have pointed out how he seems he handles dumb questions with careful but deliberate succinctness. This young man doesn't choose his words randomly.
That is what made his comment on head coach Matt Nagy so interesting. On the surface, it felt like a standard answer. Fields was asked about his impressions of Nagy having worked together for a full season now. The quarterback seemed complimentary at first, calling him a "great coach." However, his choice of words got really interesting after that.
