Jeremy Roenick Is The Next Former Blackhawks Player To Get One More Shift

The Chicago Blackhawks will feature American hockey legend, Jeremy Roenick, for the latest "One More Shift" on January 22nd. JR was drafted with their first pick (8th overall) in 1988 and went on to play 8 seasons with the organization. Roenick was a three time all-star and scored 50 goals in back-to-back seasons in 1991-1992 and 1992-1993. JR ranks in the top 10 of every major scoring statistical category for the Blackhawks and is fourth in goals all-time for an American. He was inducted into the United States Hockey Hall of Fame in 2010 and many believe he will make HHOF in Toronto at some point. His time in Chicago was cut short after long time owner, "Dollar Bill" Wirtz, went back on a verbal agreement. Despite that, Roenick holds Chicago very dear and cried on national TV when the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup in 2010.
