Bulls Rookie Is Finally Going To Get Meaningful Playing Time

Daniel Gafford, who the Bulls drafted in the second round this past summer, is finally going to get some meaningful playing time.

The rookie has only played in four games this season, seeing the court for a total of 13 minutes. The Bulls have sent Gafford down to the G-League twice through the first month of the regular season, but he was called up once again on Monday and Jim Boylen said the big man will get some minutes in the first half against the Bucks.

In three games with the Windy City Bulls, Gafford has averaged 17.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, shooting 80.6% from the field.

Hopefully the 6-foot-10 center can provide some rim protection on the defensive side and actually score below the hoop.

Entering tonight's home game against the Bucks, the Bulls have the worst field goal percentage from within five feet of the basket and they've taken the second most shots from that distance in the NBA.

So, Gafford finally gets a chance to prove he can be useful, while Luke Kornet is out of the rotation after undergoing surgery and well...not playing well either.

We'll see if Daniel Gafford can take advantage of this opportunity.
