Bulls forward Otto Porter Jr. left during the middle of Nov. 6's road game against the Hawks and he hasn't played since. He was originally ruled out for a few games with a foot issue and a week after the injury Bulls head coach Jim Boylen still had no timetable for Porter's return.
It's now been two weeks since Porter played and he won't be back anytime soon. On Wednesday, the Bulls updated Porter's status and it's not any better.
Porter underwent a second MRI on Tuesday, when the team discovered a bone bruise in his left foot that they apparently didn't find the first time around.
Porter, now in his seventh NBA season, has missed big chunks of the year during his career. In his rookie season Porter missed training camp and the first 18 games of the year because of a hip injury. Last year before the Bulls traded for him, Porter also missed 10 games with a bruised knee with the Wizards.
So, we have combination of a player who's had a few injuries already and a franchise known for their less than average medical staff.
