Last night at the United Center the Chicago Bulls played one hell of a game against a top Eastern Conference team, the Philadelphia 76ers.
Fans were on the edge of their seat until the bitter end of this game which saw Zach LaVine hit the game-winning layup. Though the game had to restart with 0.5 seconds left on the clock due to incompetence by the timekeepers, the Bulls still escaped with the win. But, what did that win mean?
Since joining the Bulls, Otto has been fantastic on both ends of the floor. Not to mention, in the month of February, Lauri Markkanen was no slouch either. Lauri averaged 26PPG and 12.2RPG in the month of February and showed just how polished his game is becoming.
Once this team gets fully healthy, I honestly think they can make some noise. Kris Dunn is still a question, but there is enough talent on this team to win some ball games next year. I mean, think about it, the Bulls are going to have a top 5 pick in the draft to add to this young core.
I honestly don't know if the team is finally gelling which is why they are playing better as of late or Coach Jim Boylen is getting everything out of his players. Only time will tell, but this young Bulls team has been super exciting lately.
Before I end this, Zach LaVine deserves the NBA's Most Improved Player Award. Zach is having a career year and is the leader of this young squad.
Last nights game was on ESPN, so the whole NBA world was watching. In a season where the Bulls have only had three National Televised games, this was huge. The reason I say this is because this team has been playing with more of a swag recently. It all started with the Otto Porter Jr. trade. I will be the first one to tell you I was wrong about that, I jumped down GarPax's throat and went for the kill shot after acquiring that contract. I overreacted.
