This would be a shock to many Bulls fans, and a pleasant surprise to see the franchise firmly decide to undergo a full-on rebuild at the expense of immediate success. Which, in Chicago's case, at least for the last three seasons, would mean a loss in the NBA Play-In Tournament.
Winning Lately Means Doubt Creeps In
Despite this report from Siegel and all of the various buzz surrounding Chicago's trade activities, the recent 5-0 stretch is adding uncertainty to the situation. In previous years, success nearing the trade cutoff has meant that Karnisovas can use it as leverage, indicating the team has hopes for the postseason and that they should remain stagnant with the current group.
