Cole Hamels is the fucking man. He's been absolutely incredible since he was traded to the
Chicago Cubs, surpassing even the wildest expectations and the veteran starting pitcher also isn't scared to dish out the trash talk either.
Despite the 4-3 loss on Monday, Hamels still buried Milwaukee fans after the game, saying Cubs-Brewers wasn't close to a rivalry because Miller Park had more Cubs fans than Brewers fans.
Shots fired!
And well, he's not wrong. Check out the reaction after Anthony Rizzo's home run off Josh Hader.
Last year the Brewers, like this season, were in a division race and you had players begging fans to come to games in September.
And as far as the amount of Cubs fans making the trip North, that's always been the case and won't really change. Remember that whole ticket policy the Brewers tried to try and keep Cubs fans out? That failed miserably too.
But how about Cole Hamels. The Cubs had just lost the game in brutal fashion, but he's still ballsy enough to throw out some shade after the game.
I'm ride or die with Cole. Pick up the option. Let's go.
Now, go win the next two to really put some sting behind the trash talk.
