The Cubs need to stop fucking around and sign Craig Kimbrel already. Brandon Morrow is out for at least the first month of the regular season and now his replacement to be the closer, Pedro Strop, is dealing with a hamstring strain.
The right-hander hasn't been ruled out for Opening Day, but he won't be throwing off a mound for a week after tweaking his right hamstring this past Saturday. It's a different injury that sidelined him for the last few weeks of 2018. That was his left hamstring.
It doesn't sound too serious and hopefully Strop will be all right in two weeks, but c'mon, why even take a chance here when there's a guy still available that will greatly improve the team overall.
Just get Kimbrel!
