Kyle Schwarber has been a beast since July and after clobbering his 34th home run of the season last night, Joe Maddon has moved up the slugger to second in Friday night's Cubs lineup against the Brewers.
Kris Bryant, who's been playing with a sore knee for almost two months, has really struggled and he's now hitting fifth. Ben Zobrist remains in the leadoff spot, while Victor Caratini gets a start behind the plate against Zach Davies.
Javier Báez, who was in Thursday's lineup, but was eventually a late scratch, will miss his fourth straight game after jamming his left thumb on a slide last Sunday. Addison Russell is filling in for him again at shortstop.
So, Nick Castellanos moves to the three hole, while Anthony Rizzo stays as the cleanup man, with Bryant moving down a couple spots.
And the last time Schwarber faced Davies in Miller Park, he crushed a grand slam and a three-run homer against the Brewers' right-hander.
