Without Jose Quintana, the Cubs don't win the division last year and once again he's coming up big in the most important time of the season. His dominance against the Brewers continued Tuesday night and it also extended Quintana's success over the past month.
Let's begin with the Brewers.
In his last two starts Quintana has pitched a total of 13.1 innings, allowing two combined runs. Both of those outings were against the Brewers and included last night's 6.2 innings of shutout baseball.

Quintana for whatever reason just seems to own the Brewers. Last year he made two starts against Milwaukee and he only allowed two runs on seven hits and four walks in 15 innings. That included a complete-game, three-hit shutout on Sept. 24. So, Quintana is revving up right on time for the stretch run. Just remember what Willson Contreras said earlier this season.
