The Brewers, behind a two-run home run by Yasmani Grandal and a solo bomb by Eric Thames, had a 3-1 lead to begin the bottom of the eighth inning against the Nationals in the NL Wild Card Game and then things got fun.
Josh Hader was brought in to get the final six outs and with one out a controversial hit by pitch.
Man, Brewers really wanted that call. Oh well.
Anyway, it's just one base runner and Hader quickly struck out Trea Turner for the second out. But with two outs Hader gave up a broken-bat single to Ryan Zimmerman and then Anthony Rendon walked to load the bases.
Juan Soto singled to right field and all that luck the Brewers have had for the past two years finally ran out.
