The Cubs and White Sox will face each other (in real games) for the first time in 2020 this weekend, as they'll play a three-game series at Wrigley Field starting Friday.
As we approach the midway point of the season both teams are positioned nicely into the playoff picture, as the Cubs have a solid lead in the NL Central, while the White Sox are right behind Cleveland and are one of only eight AL teams to be above .500.
The atmosphere certainly won't be the same, as fans aren't allowed inside, but it's still going to be fun as hell watching both teams go at it. Oh, and they're both actually good at the same time!
The Cubs have officially set their rotation for the weekend series, which will go, Jon Lester, Kyle Hendricks and Yu Darvish.
After playing five games in three days against the Cardinals, the Cubs have Thursday off, while the White Sox will finish their four-game series against the Tigers tomorrow.
White Sox prospect Dane Dunning will make his MLB debut Wednesday night and Lucas Giolito will start on Thursday. As of now the team hasn't posted its starters for the Cubs series, but if nothing changes it will be Dallas Keuchel, Gio Gonzalez and Dylan Cease.
Probable pitching matchups
Friday: Keuchel vs. Lester
Saturday: Gonzalez vs. Hendricks
Sunday: Cease vs. Darvish
