Didn't see this one coming.
The Cubs still haven't made any major changes to their roster, as free agency officially began earlier this week, but they're pretty much switching things up all across the board elsewhere. The latest report has longtime bullpen coach Lester Strode not returning to the Cubs in 2020.
Strode was the Cubs bullpen coach since 2007.
Not only was Strode the longest tenured Cubs coach, but he had been with the organization since 1989, working in the minors as a pitching coach and minor league pitching coordinator from 1996-2006.
ESPN's Jesse Rogers also reported that former Phillies pitching coach Chris Young is a candidate to replace Strode, as he interviewed for the position recently.

The team is also looking to add a coach with previous managerial experience for David Ross' staff next season.
