The Cubs bullpen was already something the front office had to patch up in the offseason and that problem has only gotten bigger after Theo Epstein dropped more bad news on Thursday.
We've said this countless times that the Cubs couldn't start 2019 by counting on closer Brandon Morrow 100 percent. There was just no way they could feel comfortable with his injury history and after missing the final couple months with an elbow injury in 2018, Morrow had surgery last month and isn't expected to be ready for the start of next season.

So yeah, you better believe the Cubs are going to be active to find bullpen help either by trade or in free agency.
There have already been a few reports indicating that the Cubs have shown interest lefties Zach Britton and Andrew Miller, who both have had their own injury issues in the past.
