Kris Bryant made a statement in his first spring training at-bat, hitting a home run and then said he was going to prove all his haters wrong in 2019. Well, on Opening Day, the Cubs offense exploded for 12 runs in the first eight innings and Bryant put the last exclamation point in the game with a two-run home run to right field.
