After Election Day, MLB has announced the starters for the 2019 All-Star Game and the Cubs have a pair of players who will start for the National League.
Willson Contreras and Javier Báez will be the starting catcher and shortstop, respectively, for the NL.
Contreras and Báez were also starters for the NL in last year's All-Star Game in Washington D.C.
Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant were the other two Cubs players who had a real shot at getting voted in by the fans, but Freddie Freeman was elected as the first baseman, while Nolan Arenado will be the starting third baseman for the NL.
Outfielders Kyle Schwarber, Albert Almora Jr. and Jason Heyward also made it to the final ballot, but weren't close to the top three-vote getters.
