So, I wake up this morning (early afternoon because I work nights) and I see a twitter post from NBC Chicago.
The White Sox are prepared to offer Bryce Harper a 10-year deal! Holy shit, am I right? This is what all (most) White Sox fans want! For the team to show that they are serious as a God damn heart-attack and sign either Bryce or Manny to these record-breaking deals. Lord knows the Sox have plenty of dough to shell out to make it happen. Then, about two hours after I see this post, I see another post. Now this time it is completely contradicting the first damn twitter post.
Now Bruce Levine reports that this is just flat out wrong and holds no substance. Well, I mean... What the fuck? Seriously man, what the fuck? Are the White Sox being used in a way to get a team Bryce actually wants to go to, to pony up more cash? Is Scott Boras using his super agent powers for evil to drive a fucking stake into the heart of all of us Sox fans? I sit here and think to myself, what's the end goal here? Do you want the money and power? The SouthSide is the way to go, Bryce. The NorthSide team has plenty of faces to represent the franchise and in L.A you're just another dude. Shit, I still have no clue what the Hell Manny Machado is doing after the Yankees signed Troy Tulowitzki yesterday either. You see reports that he's going to chase the money, but he doesn't seem keen on playing in Philly, or he has always wanted to be a Yankee! This shit is exhausting, man. It really is. I've seen comments under articles that have been posted about how it's annoying about all these reports and we should just chill and wait it out. Well, I cannot simply do that. My frustration is through the roof as I wait in excitement to see where these two superstars will sign. Sign these dudes to whatever they want. You have boatloads of cash to get it done and no shortage of incoming cash with the new T.V deal. Not to mention if you sign them revenue for the G spot is going to skyrocket. White Sox fans will come to see one of these future Hall of Famers in the Black and White.
