One of the many holes on the White Sox is Right Field. It sounds like they are getting ready to fill that need by signing Marcell Ozuna to a deal.
Translation: "Marcell Ozuna will travel to the US tomorrow, he will sign with the White Sox the agreement will be announced on Monday."
Here's the catch: 670's babseball insider Bruce Levine says that there is no truth to this rumor, so you can take that for what it's worth.
Ozuna is a guy I didn't really expect the White Sox to pursue. He had his best years in Miami although that was with the same hitting coach the Sox recently employed in favor over Todd Steverson. Maybe he can rekindle some old magic.
Even with his sub par defense, he was still a 2.2 WAR player in 2019. In 2020, he is projected a 3.1 WAR season while slashing .276/.344/.503. Those numbers would definitely be worth it.
Remember, nothing is confirmed at this point. But it sounds like this rumor has some traction to it. Unless Levine's report is also accurate. Nothing to do now except wait this one out.
