It's arbitration Friday in MLB and the White Sox have agreed to deals with all of their arbitration eligible players. Earlier today reports came out about the White Sox settling with relievers Evan Marshall and Alex Colomé on 2020 salaries.
The White Sox closer will earn a little more than $10.5 million in 2020. Colomé, who was acquired from the Mariners last offseason, will be a free agent following this season.
Three more players have avoided arbitration with the White Sox, as newly acquired outfielder Nomar Mazara will receive $5.56 million and left-handed pitcher Carlos Rodon settled at $4.45 million.
Rodon, 27, still has one more year left of arbitration before he becomes a free agent. The left-handed starter is still recovering Tommy John surgery and isn't expected to return to the White Sox until after the second half of the season.
Like Rodon, Mazara also has another year of arbitration remaining before he can hit the open market.
Finally, utility man Leury Garcia will make $3.25 million in 2020.
The White Sox also avoided arbitration earlier in the offseason, agreeing to a $5.4 million salary for catcher James McCann.
