A quarter of the season is in the books and now your start or sit decisions really count. If you are undefeated or having a winning record, just keep playing your studs. If you are 2-2 or worse, its time to start playing for upside. Scour the waiver, get in the trade market and make the most of all your start or sit decisions.
START
Kenny Golladay: If Golladay is on your roster, chances are you already know that you should be starting him. He is quickly proving himself to be the future for the Lions and he is coming off a monster fantasy day against a sneaky good Cowboy secondary. The Lions are in desperation mode and are facing a Packers team that is also win-hungry in second place. Green Bay will come out slinging the rock and the Detroit defense won't be able to stop Rodgers, even if the Pack trot out three rookie wide receivers. That means that Stafford will be in catch-up mode, giving Golladay loads of opportunity this week.
Sterling Shepard: Thanks to an Engram injury and shadow corners selling out to stop OBJ, Shep's stock is on the rise. The Panthers are a tough team but number-two wideouts have been thriving against them recently (Ridley, and Boyd). Finally, the Giants will be playing from behind in this game. That means a good chance for double-digit targets for Shepard. Start him with confidence.
Sony Michel: Gone are the days of the Patriots infuriating backfield bs. Between taking Michel in the first round and injuries taking out Hill and Burkhead, the pats are now down to a predictable backfield. James White is the passing down back and Michel will handle the workload on the ground. That is great news for those of us who took a risk on Michel in the draft. He is a very talented running back and now will have all of the opportunity we could ever want. Expect a double-digit fantasy output from the rookie this week.
Kerryon Johnson: Bellichik may have gotten his backfield act together in 2018 but his protege over in Detroit hasn't gotten the memo. Matt Patricia is struggling in his first year as a head coach. the team is 1-3 and is now hosting a Packers squad that needs a win to even up their standings in the division. Kerryon My Wayward Son had a breakout game in week three He was put back into a timeshare with Grandpa Plodder in week four. If the Lions want to have a chance in this game, they will need to control the clock by effectively running the ball and keeping Rodgers off the field. More so, Johnson is the only guy on the roster who can manage that feat.
SIT
Dalvin Cook, LeSean McCoy, Leonard Fournette. That is a lot of draft capital that either isn't playing or isn't playing well. While we are talking about running backs not playing well, let's not forget about Kenyan Drake. It isn't Drake's fault that he irrelevant but until the Dolphins start using him, you can't.
Despite his recent breakout, you might want to avoid Corey Davis as well. The lone bright spot on the Buffalo roster is cornerback Tre'Davious White. White is talented and travels with opponents. You can bet your bottom dollar that he will be spending his day glued to Davis' side.
