Monday Night Football
Baltimore Ravens (7-5) at Cleveland Browns (9-3)
Spread: BAL -3, CLE +3 Total: 45.5 After a very rough week for the Ravens that was filled with injuries and COVID complications, they earned a very much needed win against the Dallas Cowboys to keep their playoff hopes alive. Repeating as AFC North Champions is out of the question, but the Ravens should still be confident in their ability to make a playoff run with such a talented roster filled with playmakers. In order to get there though, they will need to get past a red-hot Browns team fresh off a dominant 41-35 victory over the Tennessee Titans. That notched their ninth win of the season and earned them that first winning season in 13 years. Baker Mayfield had the game of his life last week, as he became the first Browns QB in 69 years to have four passing TDs in a half. He threw for 334 yards on only 25 completions. These are the league's two best rushing attacks, so the game could come down to which QB can throw the ball better: the former number 1 overall pick coming off a career game or the reigning NFL MVP. To me, this game should be more of a pick'em. I think the Ravens are a good but flawed team that is better than their record suggests, but I think the Browns get overlooked far too often. Yes, Baker is a very volatile QB who can have bad performances when it's least ideal, but he has been relegated to what suits him best: leaning on the run and managing the game. In a game where both teams will try to run the football and a low total, I like the Browns at home to cover the spread. It looks like it might reach +3.5, so I would wait to see if you can get that number and take the points with the Browns. Prediction: CLE +3
