First, let's take a short trip down memory to this past weekend, when Cardinals pitcher Jack Flaherty was thrown out at home against the Mets to end a 8-7 loss.
And on Thursday night Flaherty came in to pinch run for Yadier Molina in the bottom of the 11th inning. That was after Molina hit a two-out double that brought the Cardinals within one run of the Marlins.
So, representing the tying run with two outs, Flaherty was picked off to end the game!
