UNLV Basketball To Face Hawaii In Diamond Head Classic Opener

The UNLV men's basketball team will face Hawaii in the Diamond Head Classic Opener on December 22nd, tournament officials announced on Wednesday. Hawaii will host the game at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu and it will be televised on ESPNU. The team that prevails will face the winner of Indiana State-Colorado. Hawaii will be participating in the Diamond Head Classic for the 10th straight season, while UNLV is making its first appearance since 2009. Last season, UNLV won 20 games for the first time in four years. UNLV will return seven players that suited up last season and has the No. 2-ranked recruiting class in the Mountain West.
