The Chicago Bears didn't get to see their defense at full strength in Detroit and it showed. Eddie Goldman was missed in the middle. However, the most unfortunate setback was not getting to see prized free agent addition Robert Quinn suit up. Fans have salivated over what a pass rush with him, Akiem Hicks, and Khalil Mack would look like. Alas, an ankle injury last week robbed them of that chance.
After starting practice on a limited basis Wednesday, it wasn't certain if the veteran would be able to make it for the home opener against the New York Giants either. However, there was a change on Friday afternoon. According to the team injury report, Quinn practiced in full for the first time. Though he was declared questionable for the game on Sunday, this is an encouraging sign that the new #94 will see his first action in a Bears uniform.
