How about this big surprise right after clinching a playoff berth. The White Sox have called up left-handed pitching prospect Garrett Crochet and there's good chance he's staying up through the playoffs.
This does come with some bad news as right-handed reliever Evan Marshall is headed to the 10-day injured list. However, the White Sox still expect Marshall to return for the final series of the regular season against the Cubs next weekend.
But once again, Garrett Crochet has arrived to the south side!
And here's a quick scouting report of Crochet, who was picked 11th overall back in June out of Tennessee.
