The Chicago Bears Super Bowl odds is definitely something fans have interest in of late. Not a surprise. This team looked like a surprise contender in 2018. They won the NFC North title with their best record since 2006. The defense finished #1 in the league and the offense came alive under new head coach Matt Nagy.
Optimism is high for this team, but most national media still aren't ready to buy in just yet. They remain convinced the Green Bay Packers are still the cream of the division despite missing the playoffs the past two years. Why? Aaron Rodgers, obviously. Having one of the best quarterbacks in the game affords a team the benefit of the doubt.
That and their recent spending spree in free agency has helped alleviate concerns for the time being. Adrian Amos, Preston Smith, and Za'Darius Smith were all added to their defense in the space of a week. All of this put their Super Bowl odds at 20-1 according to Oddschecker.com and Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report.
The problem is? It still wasn't good enough to beat the Bears, who came in at a respectable 16-1

Chicago Bears Super Bowl odds reflect how far they've come
It's hard to believe that this time last year the Bears were considered 80-1 odds of reaching the championship game. Suddenly a team that most viewed as rebuilding is one of the top contenders in the NFL with clear expectations that they can claim their first Lombardi trophy in over three decades if they play up to their potential.
The Packers won't be any sort of easy out. They never have been. If the Bears wish to prove they're for real, they must get by their greatest boogeyman to do it. George Halas once said that the key to a championship in Chicago is by beating the Packers twice in a season. It was true in 1963 and again in 1985.
Perhaps we'll know if the 2019 version is the real deal if they can accomplish that elusive task.
