Former Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler has been sentenced to four days in jail after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor DUI charge in Tennessee. The sentence, issued on August 26, 2025, stems from an October 2024 crash in Franklin, Tennessee, where Cutler, rear-ended another vehicle. Police reported he showed signs of intoxication, including slurred speech and bloodshot eyes, and attempted to flee after offering the other driver $2,000 to avoid police involvement. Officers also discovered a loaded pistol and rifle in his truck, though a weapons charge was dropped in the plea deal.
Cutler, the Bears all-time leader in passing yards and touchdowns, must begin serving his sentence on September 29, 2025, at Williamson County Jail.
