June 5, 1991
As Michael Jordan drove the lane against the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 2 of the 1991 NBA Finals he moved past Byron Scott with the ball in his right hand. Jordan then took for what he later said was an intend to dunk. The Lakers' Sam Perkins came over to try to contest the shot, but Jordan switched the ball into his left hand while in midair and laid it in off the glass. It was the first of many memorable Jordan Finals moments. The Bulls win over the Lakers 107-86 was their first NBA Finals win in franchise history while en route to their first championship.

June 7, 1998
Michael Jordan leads all scorers with 24 points as the Chicago Bulls defeat the Utah Jazz 96-54 in game 3 of of the NBA Finals. It is the most lopsided game in the history of the NBA Finals.

June 11, 1997
A sick and suffering Michael Jordan plays game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals with flu-like symptoms. He is said to be experiencing dehydration and looks exhausted at times. Jordan wills himself to 38 points against the Utah Jazz to make the series 3-2 in favor of the Bulls. As a result, his legendary status grows even larger.

June 12, 1991
Michael Jordan scores 30 as the Chicago Bulls defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 108-101 as the Bulls clinch their first championship in the franchises 25-year history. Jordan wins his first of a record six NBA Finals MVP awards.

June 14, 1992
Michael Jordan becomes the first player to win consecutive NBA Finals MVP awards while averaging 35.8 ppg. In the game, the Bulls set an NBA Finals record by overcoming a 15-point deficit (79-64), after three quarters. They scored 33 points over the final 12 minutes to defeat, Portland 97-93 in Game 6 and clinch its second straight NBA Championship.
June 14, 1998
Michael Jordan hits the game-winning, "Last Shot" in his final game with the Chicago Bulls as they clinched their sixth NBA championship in eight seasons. He earned his record sixth NBA Finals MVP after averaging 33.5 ppg.

June 16, 1993
Michael Jordan dominated the Phoenix Suns with a 55-point effort. The Bulls defeated Phoenix 111-105 and Jordan’s effort matched the second-highest single-game point total in Finals history.
June 16, 1996
Michael Jordan scores 22 points with seven assists in the championship clinching game against the Seattle Supersonics. He becomes the only player ever to win the NBA Finals MVP award four times. In the series he averaged 27.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game in the championship series.

Michael Jordan is drafted second in the NBA Draft behind Sam Bowie. It just needs to be mentioned because who would draft anyone ahead of Michael Jordan.
June 20, 1993
Michael Jordan of Chicago was named the NBA Finals MVP for the third consecutive year and is the first to accomplish this. He averaged a Finals record 41.0 ppg, along with 8.5 rebounds and 6.3 assists.
Michael Jordan’s NBA Finals accomplishments and moments in June are unprecedented. While the name of the month will never actually be changed, we can be grateful to have record of a basketball god.
