Again, the jokes are fine, and he was terrible but it's not like he was being terrible on purpose. Yet, personally attacking a player who's on your team probably isn't the best look, when you want to convey that you're a part of the best fan base in baseball. Looking at Facebook, the Cubs didn't even bother to make a post there to wish Chatwood a happy birthday. But c'mon, maybe let's not be assholes on his birthday. And yeah, I get it, Tyler Chatwood isn't the first and won't be the last to get torched on social media by his own team's fans, but it still doesn't mean it's not a bad look on the people doing it.
