Nick Castellanos has started his Cubs career with an eight-game hitting streak and on Thursday he smoked his second home run with Chicago.
The outfielder is now 13-for-31 with the Cubs, six doubles and two homers. His solo shot against the Reds tonight started a four-running inning for the Cubs.
Ian Happ gave the Cubs a 5-1 lead with a two-out, two-run single.
Unfortunately, Cole Hamels has been hit pretty hard too and the Reds are back in it after a two-run bomb and an RBI-single in the bottom of the third inning to make it 5-4.
...
The Reds ended up tying the game in the third as Jonathan Lucroy was called for catcher's interference with the bases loaded. Hamels is done after 77 pitches. Both starters have been lifted before the fourth inning.
Ahh, the road Cubs.
