While the White Sox have a few relievers that they could trade in the next week, there hasn't really been much talk about any potential deals or any teams showing serious interest. White Sox GM Rick Hahn has also said that the front office isn't being as aggressive pursuing trades this year compared to the previous two. Yet, the White Sox do have at least one serious suitor for closer Álex Colomé.
Colomé, who the White Sox acquired from the Mariners last offseason, has 21 saves this year. He's pitched in 39 games, posting a 2.33 ERA and 0.80 WHIP in 38.2 innings.
The right-hander hasn't pitched much since the All-Star break, throwing just three times in the past two weeks. His last appearance was last Saturday, when he closed out a 2-1 win over the Rays.
Colomé, 30, will still be under team control in 2020.
